Email field not showing error for required field

Hi there,

When there is no data entered for the email field, it is not showing as a mandatory field.

For example, I have a custom field that I have set to required. When there is no data entered it behaves correctly and shows a red line around the field. This doesn’t happen with the email field.

I tried following this guide, but adding the code to the .js file broke the plugin.

I’m also able to enter no email address into the field once, and when clicking submit it is treated as an email address. So I can click submit with no email, and it is put into the list in the backend. If I try to enter no email again, it says “You have already used this email”.
