When I edit the templates for e-mail (example welcome e-mail), it doesn′t save.

I found a way to edit using FileZilla or similar. But I′m using a an old theme on my website, that is no longer avaliable. So I cannot creat a child-theme. I cannot access the theme folder on the server.

    Is there another way???

    Hi @olahall

You can add the UM templates to your main theme instead. Please see:
    https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/1516-templates-map

But like I said, I cannot access my theme folder.
I’m using an old theme that is no longer supported by wp.
The theme folder is not accessed by my ftp-program.
    It’s restricted…

    Hi @olahall

What happens when you Edit and Save the UM Templates in WP Admin > Ultimate Member > Settings > Emails? Does it throw an error when submit the form? If so, try excluding the UM Settings page from the mod_security settings.

Nothing happens, like I wrote in my first post.

I open the template, make changes, click on save.
    I closes, like it’s all good…

When I open it to check…
    It’s unchanged.

Please explain this…”try excluding the UM Settings page from the mod_security settings”.

    How do I do that?
    Where do I find this?

    Hi @olahall

Please contact your hosting provider to assist you with the mod_security settings. Tell them that you need to whitelist the UM settings page.

Unfortunately, they seem not to be able to do this.
    Is there another way?

    Hi @olahall

Unfortunately, it’s a conflict with your settings. Are they able to temporarily disable it so that you can save the settings and then turn it back on once you’re done?

Looks like there is no solution to my problem then… =/

I have another issue with UM aswell…

It′s regarding editing the user profile.
If I use predefined fields for social media. The facebook field doesn′t seem to work properly.

I put LinkedIn and Facebook fields in the profile. I also checked the box for showing social media icons on the user profile.

The facebook field doesn′t get saved when the user fills it out. And t doesn′t show in the profile, which I′m guessing depends on that it doesn′t get saved?

    What am I doing wrong??
