    Hi there,

    in the moment i use WP Statistics to avoid Google Analystics. But since they are updated the Version to 13.X a lot of errors and problems are starting. i.E. Database crash etc. the developers are not able since a couple of month to fix the problems and i use the last stable version 12.6.13.

    Now i’m looking for another Statistics Plug In and found yours. I have some questions:
    1) Do you also offer a Front End Counter for the Visitors of the Website? You can take a look into my websitde to see what i mean, it is in the right sidebar.

    2) How long are the datas are stored? I present on a yearly base the most readed Articles as a review of the year. Can i filter the Stats for this period?

    Basically for me i don’t need a full takeover from the database, it would be enough, if the Visitor details which are shown in the Front End counter for the lifetime period of the website could get taken over in some way. So that i.E. the Frontend Counter shows the same as it shows now. The rest will be ok if not. Iif you have one counter, of not which one would you recommend?)

    But have another question, is it possible to clear the database from time to time, so that the database will not blow up to endless entrys? i.E. delete all entrys which are older then 1 year or 400 days or something like that? Without deleting the lifetime statistics of hits etc.

    Hi leogc, sorry for the late reply. Here are my answers:

    1) There is no front end counter, yet. But I can add a solution via WordPress shortcodes in one of the next versions of this plugin (just let me know if you or anybody else are still interested).

    2) The data storage time can be set in the settings. This is only limited by the database storage.

    There are two versions of data in this plugin: the detailed visitor flow and more simple counters of views per page and date. The visitor flow data is removed automatically regarding to your settings (e.g. after 30 days). The counters are stored infinitely until you reset the counters or uninstall this plugin.

    You can filter all data by time periods (start and end date).

    There is no data import from WP Statistics or any other plugin, sorry.

    Hi @friese !

    Thanks for the informations. A counter for the Front End would be a great feature via Shortcode. An then it sould be possible to give the Counter a startvalue about how many vitors the page had until the installation of the plug in. YOu can let me know, as soon this is implemented and i will maybe start a test with the plugin ??
