Featured Image resize

  • I have set the medium and large size size t o be 300 x 300, and thumbnail size as 150 x 150, under Settings-Media
    I have installed the plugin Thumbnail resize.
    After setting the media size in settings, I ran the Thumbnail resize plugin and it showed, resized all.
    Still when I view any post, the featured image size is very big.
    How do i display the featured image in smaller size.

    Your theme has defined its own thumbnail image dimensions: it doesn’t use WordPress’ native thumbnail sizes. So changing the sizes at SETTINGS => MEDIA will NOT have any effect on your website.

    The dimensions are defined in the theme’s functions.php file. But note that if you just edit this file to change the dimensions, any theme update will just wipe away your changes. Create a child theme instead.

    Tried all these. Tried through plugins. No change. Changed in CSS.
    If I check the image, it shows small, but on the post page, it is a full size image.
    The theme developer is not helping.

    The image shown is too big, but when I view just the image, it is of the desired size.
    I need to show the small image on the post page
