Extra paragaph tags added to page.

I am using 2.9.2.

WP is adding extra “invisible” <p> and </p> tags for no apparent reason.

Whenever I use View>Page Source or View>Source Code to look at the finished product, I am seeing this extra tags randomly placed around the test I have input in the Dashboard.

And yes, I am using the editor on HTML mode.

Here is what I am getting:
