I’m just curious if this is still the case.

I’ve seen this topic before, and the code even has “exclude_tag” option, however that doesn’t work, nor does the documentation mention it.

I’ve also seen an extension plugin (download monitor tweaks) which was meant to enable this, but that doesn’t work either.

Is there no way to exclude certain download categories and their children from searching and filtering?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hello @quin452 and sorry for this late reply.

The exclude_tag option works if you set it in the [downloads], like [downloads exclude_tag="tag1"] shortcode ( at the moment multiple tags can’t be excluded, but we are aware of this situation and issued it on github, so in a future update this will be fixed ), however this is for excluding downloads that have certain tags and not excluding downloads that are in certain categories.

At the moment an option to exclude downloads that are in certain categories does not exist, I am sorry. I issued this on github also so probably in a future update this option will also be available.

    Hope this helps,
    Kind Regards!
    Razvan
