    Hi,

I’ve created two welcome emails, which are both active. The first one is supposed to be send two day after the subscriber subscribed to the list. This one works properly. The second one should be send 16 days after subscribing to the list. As the first subscribers subscribed around January 20th, this email should have been sent to some people already. But since then the status always shows that there are a couple of emails planned, but none of them is sent. Why is this? Is it not possible to have two or more welcome emails active at the same time?
    Thanks for your help!

    Best
    Kathy

  • Hi!

It is possible to schedule several welcome emails, so in this case, the sending should work.

Since your site is hosted in WordPress.com and we’re now part of Automattic, I was able to log in and take a further look for you ??

I noticed you have 5 scheduled emails and 2 sent in your 16 days Welcome Email. If you click on the Sending Status:

    https://d.pr/i/JeweyK

You’ll see a tab with the Unprocessed emails. I checked the subscribers that didn’t receive the email yet and those are not subscribed 16 days ago, so that’s why those emails are not delivered.

You can check when those subscribers joined your list in “MailPoet -> Subscribers”. If you compare the date of subscription vs. the 16 days you set up for the email, you will see some of them are still a few days behind.

So, in this case, you just to wait and those emails will be sent, as everything seems to be scheduled from MailPoet’s end in your site.

    Have a nice day!

    Hi dromero20,

thanks for your detailed feedback! You’re right, yesterday 2 emails have been sent. I suppose that’s due to deactivate and activate the campaign 2 days ago. But the campaign was initially created and activated already on January 31th. So if it would have worked correctly from the beginning it should have been sent already to all the subscribers who subscribed on January 20th for example. This was somehow not the case. But if it works now I’m happy! I changed the timing now from 16 days after subscription to 30 days after subscription, so that the former subscribers hopefully will receive it in a couple of days too.
Or is it the case that the welcome emails only work for those who subscribe after creating and activating the campaign?
So if the campaign was created on January 31th and the sending is scheduled 16 days after subscription it will only work for those who subscribe after January 31th, but not for those who subscribed before creating/activating the campaign? This would explain, why yesterday the first emails were sent, as yesterday was exactly 16 days after creating/activating the campaign.

    Hello!

Or is it the case that the welcome emails only work for those who subscribe after creating and activating the campaign?

That’s it ?? Welcome emails can’t be triggered retroactively, so if some users joined your lists before you created the campaign, they won’t receive that batch of emails.

If you wish to send a Welcome Email to those users who didn’t receive them (because they joined before), then you could create a new list with them and send a Newsletter (titled, for example, “Welcome”) so at least they would receive something, but this won’t include them in the active campaign.

Or you could remove them from your current list and then re-add them manually, that should trigger the Welcome Email as well:

    Have a good one!
