On the mobile view of a freshly installed WordPress, Divi and Popup plugin:

I notice that the popup appears at one click of the button, but is partly covered bij the main section of the page. After 3 or 4 clicks (on the button) it fully appears.

I did try to set the Z-index of the popup to 99999 and the main section to -99999 but is does not change anything.

I don’t have any custom css, no custom code and no plugins installed.

(On my working site this behaviour did work a while ago… something to do with a newer version of Popups for Divi?)

  • @mordice did you get a fix for this? I’m having the same issue.

@avenue15 Nope still waiting for a reply. Hopefully they will soon!

@mordice I’ve also contacted them so if I hear anything I will let you know.

    Thanks

Just to confirm same problem here only after updating the plugin to the most recent version. Nothing else changed so am pretty sure the plugin version is very likely breaking something.

Same problem. And it is not working properly on safari either. Does anyone have a solution?

We are also seeing this problem on both the mobile and desktop versions. It takes 3-4 clicks before a popup is triggered.

I’m seeing this issue too. Can anyone tell me for certain if this is only an issue since the last update?

    Hi everyone.

I’m sorry for the Safari/iOS issues that the previous update caused. We’ve already fixed all those problems in version 2.3.5.

I’ve validated the fix on several websites mentioned in this forum and can confirm the latest plugin version displays the Popups correctly on all devices/browsers.

Thanks for using Popups for Divi and for taking the time to report the issue here ?? Happy Popup-ing ?? Philipp

    @strackerphil-1 Thank you.

    Thank you @strackerphil-1

I’m very grateful for all the hard work and the beautiful popup tool all you made. As a matter of fact my website was ‘down’ all the time because I had a lot of important interaction going on on the popup pages. So I really would have appreciated some sort of note that you were working on this error.

Still very happy with the result!

@mordice, yes, you are right. We should have taken a moment to post a 1-liner here.

We tried to answer all bug-reports, but as more and more people reported the same issue, we stopped responding and started solving the problem instead.

I’m aware of the organizational bottleneck, and we’ll look into possible ways to keep such situations more transparent in the future. Possibly by placing some announcement on our website, or an email autoresponder, or similar.
