[Plugin: WordPress File Monitor] While plugin is deactivated, it still sends me emails & other s
-
First, I think that this plugin is very cool. I have recommended it in my article “20+ Ways to Harden and Secure your WordPress Blog” (as #15) located here: https://bit.ly/bszTaU
However, I had to deactivate the plugin because it was sucking up a lot of memory and resources when scanning. Then after having it still installed but de-active, I still am getting email notifications of changed files. I just re-activated the plugin, saw the dashboard notification and then dismissed it. Then deactivated it. Will see if it continues to remind me (and scan?). However, it was inactive when I received email notifications.
A feature suggestion that I have is to be able to say how many times it will remind you (via email) of changed files. I noticed that if you don’t “dismiss” the notification from the dashboard, it will continue to send the same email over an over. Being able to say how many notifications or reminders you get would be really nice.
Lastly, it would be nice to have a dropdown for the scan frequency. Because of the resources that it consumes, I want to do it weekly but don’t want to go through the crazy calculation of having to figure out how many minutes in a week. You could have a field and then a dropdown that says: minutes/hours/days/weeks and then perhaps calculate it for us.
Thanks for the good work!
