• Hi, I am searching for a solution for sending reminder emails.

We are using WooCommerce for selling online seminars. Seminars are created as products with the date in the title and everything works fine. We want to send reminder emails 3 days before the beginning of the seminar. What is the simplest way to do that? Adding some kind of custom field for a date in products and using Mailchimp maybe? Some event plugin (I’ve found a couple, but some seem to not have this function and we will need to redo our products so not the best option overall)? Any other solution?

I really thought this should be easy, but Google is not a friend of mine today regarding this question..

    Thanks for anyones’ input!

The EASIEST way is to let your webinar platform send those reminders.

We use Zapier to tie together Woocommerce and GotoWebinar (or webinar platform) such that anyone who purchases the seminar is automatically registered for the GotoMeeting Webinar… and GotoMeeting then sends out the reminders.

    Easy Peasy!

I’m not very familiar with MailChimp, but I just glanced over their Woocommerce integration page and it seems it should be possible to trigger an automation sequence based on sales data. Please see: https://mailchimp.com/integrations/woocommerce/
