Is there anywhere I can make a request? It is a request to enhance the table of contents plugin so that we can make it sticky and highlight the item when it is active during page scroll.

I’ve really struggled to manually create this with how the block currently is but it would be neat if it was just included with the block.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,
An option to “scroll spy” and highlight when over a specific heading is in the works. Using the Kadence theme you can add this block to your sidebar and make the sidebar sticky which may be an option for you. I’ve not considered a sticky feature for this block specifically though.

    That’s great to hear Ben.

I’ve actually already got the table of contents block sticky (using another plugin mind) and this works well, it’s just we’re having to come up with our own jQuery currently to highlight the item in the TOC on page scroll which has proved difficult.

That would be great with this addition natively with the block. Thanks.

I just wanted to follow up to close this out, I released a scroll spy option last week for the TOC block, you can set the color when it’s “active”.

Let me know what you think.

    Hi Ben,

Yes, I already noticed after checking the changelog in your latest release and already integrated it and tested – works perfectly.

Thanks so much for introducing this quickly ??
