how do you actually go about using the plug-ins once you’ve installed and activated? the theme i am using currently does not support widgets so there is no side-bar. for right now I don’t want to use widgets/sidebars because what I want to do is load plug-ins on the pages I’ve created. how do I call the plug-in where I would like to use them?

    thank you.

most plugins have a readme file

I’m a nooB too, and just figured it out for the NextGen Gallery plug-in.
When you are in your dashboard (admin area), plugin button shows up on left side below “Settings,” and there is an icon in the row of icons, in the Upload/Insert header on Edit Page.

Hope that helps! Also, if that’s not typical, please correct me!! ??

thanks guys, starting to get the hang of it.

socal i believe every plugin is different as far as implementation goes and like samboll said the read-me file will typically explain how to go about doing it.
