    Hello,

I’m building a WooCommerce website and, as it’s in FR and EN, I added and activated the several plugins :
    – Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual
    – WooCommerce Multilingual
    – WPML All Import
    – WPML CMS Nav
    – WPML Media
    – WPML Multilingual CMS
    – WPML Sticky Links
    – WPML String Translation
    – WPML Translation Management
    – WPML Widgets

It works quite okay, except some translation that I’m not able to find and translate (like “Add to cart” which is already translated in french but quite bad, and several others)

I read some support topics (like this one : https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/#setting-up-the-store-pages ) and I’m desappointed as I do not see any “WooCommerce Multilingual” page on my WP Back-office.
So I cannot proceed to some WooCommerce specific string translations. ??

    What can I do ?

    Thank you

  • Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to WPML Support.

As a first step, please note that WooCommerce Multilingual requires WooCommerce to be installed and active on your site!

Please confirm that you have WooCommerce installed and that all of your plugins are updated to the latest versions. If so, you should be seeing WooCommerce Multilingual under the WooCommerce Menu. You can find an image showing the expected position here:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/18v9flD47tZJ_7P5AMW7wsMzl6h8j6SBZ/view?usp=sharing

If you are sure that everything that needs to be installed is installed and updated, then please open a ticket in our Support Forums where we may need to ask for temporary access to take a closer look:

    Stay Safe!

    Hi,
Yes I confirm that WooCommerce is installed, indeed.

Nevertheless, I confirm that I don’t have the “WooCommerce Multilingual” link as on your screenshot.

In my FR store, for example, the text “Availability” is in english, not in French. (there are other example of non translated words)
Is there a way to translate them directly into a file ?

    Thank you

    Hi,

    Thank you for confirming that.

You can translate strings in .po files in the wp-content/languages folders but I would highly recommend against that as I feel you have a larger bug that needs to be addressed.

If WooCommerce and WooCommerce Multilingual are both installed and activated, and WPML is installed and activated, then you must see the menu link as in the screenshot.

I would ask again that you open a ticket in our Support Forum as this seems like a bug that you should not ignore and you will probably find new bugs and errors as you continue to build the site.

I do not have the credentials to log in the WPML support site, as I create a “sub-site” into a WP instance of a big company ; and WPML account is managed by big company admin. And they didn’t share the credentials with me :-/

    Hi,

Unfortunately, you will need to get those WPML.org credentials as we cannot support unlicensed installations of WPML and I cannot even ask you for more information about your site in this forum.

I suspect that you are either missing some updates, or you are being limited by role by the company Admin. This might explain why you are unable to access WooCommerce Multilingual from the menu.

Again, I don’t think you can really do much until you resolve this issue or find out why you are unable to see the complete WP Menu. I suggest you send a request to the Admin and ask if your user is being limited in any way.

WPML is registered at the higher level as I can see.
I’m Super Admin at my website level and can see one level up.
At the upper level, I cannot see WooCommerce Multilingual.
    I’ll ask my Admin.

    Thanks

    Thank you for checking ??

I will be happy to assist you further once we know more. I have one more suggestion to make to help resolve this in a timely fashion:

Please enable debugging so that you can provide us with the specific error that you are experiencing (if any). The article below explains how to do this so that you can share your debug.log file with our Support team:
    https://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/

If you can’t see WCML on the level above you, suggest that your Admin also check for PHP errors.

    Best,
    Izzi

    Hi,

My colleague pointed out that you can now add more people to your WPML.org account. Perhaps the Admin can do that so you can create a ticket with us!

Please read the announcement below for more information:
    https://wpml.org/announcements/2020/09/add-other-people-to-your-wpml-cms-or-agency-account/

    Thank you!
