Can you share some information about your server specs? Also are your plugins and theme up to date? Which WordPress version do you have running in your site?

I am joining this thread. I am not sure if its the same but I was able to figure that I get connection refused when a ajax request is sent via heartbeat api. This is when using the classic editor that disables gutenberg. In gutenberg there are no issues.

Maybe it was a cache issue and when the cache was cleared the issue went away. These things happen from time to time. If you can’t see the fault anymore then it is fixed. You can close this thread. If it happens again in the future, open up a new support thread.
