[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Can/does NextGen automatically compress images?

Anybody?

Does NextGen gallery automatically compress images?

Some of my client’s photos are 2M each, so it would be great if NextGen could compress them down substantially (to like 100k) so the client doesn’t have to learn Photoshop or some other tool to compress images.

i used this resize plugin, but with NGG 1.5 should handle this too, right?

So with NGG 1.5 and after it’s already built in?

I tried using the plugin mentioned above, but it doesn’t appear to actually compress the images, which is my main objective.
