Upgrade to 2.9.2 Broke

    I tried upgrading to 2.9.2 by downloading the files, and replacing mine.

    At first I had a NOOP error, which I fixed, and now I have this error:

    [Tue Feb 23 11:30:54 2010] [error] [client 141.217.52.64] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_embed_register_handler() in /var/www/vhosts/x/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-includes/default-embeds.php on line 33
    [Tue Feb 23 11:31:13 2010] [error] [client 95.54.59.139] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_embed_register_handler() in /var/www/vhosts/x/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-includes/default-embeds.php on line 33

    The site works, https://www.peterfilias.com, but the admin doesn’t work nor does the upgrade script. Both lead to a completely blank screen.

    hi there, did you find a solution for your problem?
    I just ran into the same problem for a client. So I will have to find the solution for this, but if you know it please let me know, if not please write me back to remind me perhaps I could help if you have not solved it by then. It seems it had affected many many people and little awareness there is out there about this situation.
