Quick question. I have a client in the real estate business for which I am building a site. The question has come up a couple of times as to which will do more in the way of getting the attention of the search engines.

She writes on topics of relevancy for both current customers and potential ones. If she were to place ten articles of SEO copy in either static pages, or ten blog posts on the same site, would one fare better than the other?

I would like to have her use the blogs for things like open house announcements, and shorter blips about what is going on around town, and leave the longer copy for the static pages.

    Any thoughts?

The critical issue is the quality of the content, the use of proper headings in the theme and the overall semantic structure of the markup. Whether it’s posts or pages is really immaterial, in my opinion.
