Need help with the scream theme

    How do I add posts to a front page without getting the square box? Here’s my problem. I am uploading images by adding the URL and I was told to use posts but when I do, I get the post box up there. I am not getting this. On the scream theme there are 6 thumbnails on the front. I am using the Design Creative – Custom Fields boxes. Then I update and the first image goes up there fine. But adding consecutive images is the problem. I either copy over what I have done or I get the post box on the page. Help! I am new to WordPress and the theme so it’s very confusing. I just need some simple direction thanks.

    I tried adding posts but came up with a square box but all I want to do is add 6 thumbnails to the page.

    Here are the instructions which I understood most of but not getting why these additional images aren’t showing up.

    b)Adding featured items to the main page.

    In the main page options, under Design Creative theme settings, make sure you have chosen either page or post for main page featured items.

    Make a new/edit an existing post or page. In the posts Design Creative Custom Field, do the following:

    1. Add “small title”. (Optional)
    2. Add ” title”. (Optional. If not filled in, it will be substituted by the post’s main title.
    3. Add description text.
    4. Add “Read more” text.( Optional. If not filled in, it will be substituted by a default text “More”).
    5. Add url of the thumbnail image in the textfield “Thumbnail image”. This is the preview image that is displayed on the main page.
    6. Check the checkbox “Add to main page”
    7. Publish

    c) Adding portfolio items to the main page.

    5. Add the url of the image in the textfield “Fullsize image”. This is the image that is shown when the thumbnail is clicked. (Lightbox image)
    6. Add text in the textfield “Read more”. (Optional. If not filled in, it will be substituted by a default text “More”.
    7. Check the checkbox “Add to main page”
    8. Publish post

    PS: Only posts can be added to the portfolio.
