• So here is why its only 2 stars:

You create a plugin for website owners who have all kinds of users on their site. And as we all know, most users are dumb as hell. Therefore, your plugin must be clear as hell for all kinds of users. That is your job, that is why you demand money for a pro premium vip whatever version.

So let me act like a common dumb user, which is ultimately what you are targeting with your plugin here:

Given I set up a product with only max. purchase amount = 5.
I purchase 5 and it works, delete cart content, purchase 6 instead and it tells me it can only purchase 5. So far so good.
But WHY would it STILL add those 6 items into the cart and force me to adjust the amount? Why would’nt it block the add to cart action in the first place?

Same goes for adding another lets say quantity 1 on top of a quantity 5 of an item. And it makes it even worse: Instead of creating a “6” cart line, it creates a “5” and a “1” cart line.
My users are then being tortured with a permanent warning message until they delete the item(s) off the cart. Of course you can demand that from a user, but the experience is extremely important here.

Technically working, but the user experience is just awful.

I don’t want to know what other constellations might appear depending on lets say accidental large quantity numbers, cart edits etc.

If you want to make money off plugins, you must make them pleasant for peasants.
If I want to make money off my website, I must offer a good user experience which is not granted here.

Trying to find another plugin now.

It is not that hard to open plugin settings and check what you have there. There is an option called Prevent add to cart that is preventing add to cart when client is over the limit.

I’m not even talking about the support option provided on this site that you could use at least sometimes.

“And as we all know, most users are dumb as hell” – not sure who you “all” are but you will be surprised that most of the users are not that dumb as you think.

“Same goes for adding another lets say quantity 1 on top of a quantity 5 of an item. And it makes it even worse: Instead of creating a “6” cart line, it creates a “5” and a “1” cart line.” – this doesn’t sounds right and our plugin shouldn’t do anything like that. Are you sure that was the same product? If it was variation did you select the same options? You is the first user who notice this. Or this is issue in new version of the plugin or it is caused by some other plugin you have. We will check it from our site.

    Regards,
    Dima
