    Hi,

I am facing troubles with Avada and AMP plugin, in all 3 Modes.
In Standard mode some CSS and Layerslider are not working. In order to work properly I must unselect all content types.
In traditional mode I cannot redirect mobile visitors to AMP. There is a very bad theme that is not working well.
Why Layerslyder and some CSS are not working?

    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Thanks for getting in touch. The Avada theme isn’t known to be fully AMP compatible, with JavaScript functionality not working by default in AMP URLs. You should however be able to use the plugin in reader mode, along with the mobile redirection feature. When selecting reader mode you can choose from one of the available reader mode themes or adding your own from a list of compatible themes.

Note that you can use the JetPack slider or the Gutenberg gallery block for similar to functionality to any non compatible slideshow feature.

    Hi,
Thank you for your detailed answer.
My problem is that I want to use the AMP plugin on my site. But there are more than 4,000 posts with Layerslider videos and images on top of them.So please I need a solution to use Layerslider on AMP themes, that will include the post dated posts.
    Best regards

I understand, that’s not ideal in that case. I haven’t tested out Layer Slider myself yet, but did you try opening a support topic on their WordPress support forums, to enquire about plans for AMP compatibility?

I noticed you also removed AMP from individual posts, which is suitable to maintain AMP on URLs that don’t have any Layer Slider features.

    Hi,

“I noticed you also removed AMP from individual posts, which is suitable to maintain AMP on URLs that don’t have any Layer Slider features. ”
Can you please be more specific?

How to add AMP only in non Layerslider posts?

    Thank you

When I access your homepage I notice and AMP version available, although when I access an individual post there is no AMP version available.

How to add AMP only in non Layerslider posts?

You can use the plugins “Supported Templates” AMP configuration to define the content types or templates to have AMP versions.

    Hi,
“When I access your homepage I notice and AMP version available, although when I access an individual post there is no AMP version available.”

In Supported Templates I have checked only pages.
I cannot check posts because Layerslider is not playing.

    Hi,

I am at this point right now:
This is the answer from Avada theme
    “Hello Agis

I am sorry but we do not have any fix/solution available for this incompatibility.

If you are not able to use Layer slider plugin correctly with AMP plugin. You will have to contact the author of AMP plugin.

We do not have a simple version of Avada available, also Avada itself is compatible with AMP plugin. Layer slider is bundled with Avada theme as a gift, however It is not part of Avada theme. So incompatibility of layer slider does not mean incompatibility of Avada with AMP.

    Thank you”

Thanks for providing an update. In that case it would take some programmatic effort in order to get Layer Slider to work on your AMP URLs. Unfortunately it’s up to third party plugins to ensure themes work in AMP as they do in non AMP.

Apart from using the plugins “Supported Templates” feature you could also opt out of AMP by default and only enable AMP for any newly created content (for URLs without Layer Slider). To do you you can use the filter below, added to your themes functions.php or preferably a custom plugin:
    add_filter( 'amp_post_status_default_enabled', '__return_false' );
