• Hi,
we’ve been running the Composite Products plugin for a while now, but never got around resolving the following problem: When generating a customs declaration through the Shipcloud plugin, composite products are not displayed as one unit, but all their internal parts are showing up seperately. This is unwanted behaviour for us, as we sell (and price) sets of components as summed up products, pretty much regardless of the exact combination of components. But we still need to have seperate product entries for each component to keep track of stock levels.
I tried to set the components as services, virtual products or products that don’t need shipping, still they’re all passed on to the shipping plugin instead of just the main product. I don’t know on which end the problem might be. Is this a known issue within Composite Products? We’re running V.4.1.1, so this might have been resolved in the meantime?
    Thank you for your help!
    Max

    All the best.

    Hi @powermaxe

I’m not sure I understand the problem completely so here’s what I get from your description. You’re selling an assembled product that is made out of parts, which the user can select in your WooCommerce store. Is this right?

As you are combining items into a new (physical) product, that is not a product by WooCommerces’ original term, our (shipcloud) plugin can’t know, that the product you’re sending across borders is actually made out of the parts you sold. So I’m not sure if there’s a way to fix this since we are / the shipper is required to send customs information about the items included. As there is no way for the shipcloud plugin to reference the newly created product by WPC Composite Products I think there is no way for us to get the data.

Maybe the creators of the WPC Composite Products plugin have an idea how we can resolve this.
