Loading site after updates

Hi all,
After doing the necessary updates (mostly on a daily basis) I find that loading the site afterwards, takes one hell of a long time.

Are you using any caching plugin(s)? I like the combination of “Comet Cache” and “Autoptimize”.
I don’t know of any process that would take that much time unless, perhaps, you have a really huge site and there’s some sort of DB update required. It’s more likely that there’s something slow on your host like a cache rebuild or something like that. Have you contacted your host about this?
Also, install caching/optimization plugins.
