    Hi,

I backed up my site around 20:30 today after I made some huge work on my website. Around 9pm I realised that I deleted a picture by mistake and wanted to back it up however Updraft plugin gave me an error message upon restoration process and that’s when all plugins and everything completely disappeared. I tried to download the plugin again and I’m able to restore everything except plugins which are the most important.

    PLEASE HELP!!!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

To help find out the cause of the issue, can you please send us full copy of the restoration log? You can find this log in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of your site via FTP. You can send the log file and copy the contents into an online tool (such as https://pastebin.com/ )

    Hi Bryle,

    Thank you for your message.

After the website crashed, I downloaded all the plugins again and now everything is back as before. However I’m not sure if that’s the best thing I could have done? I’m now afraid to download Updraft again but need a back up plugin an you guys are one of the best out there.

    What do you think?

    Best,
    Kim

    Hi Kim,

Yes, you can manually restore if needed. Without seeing the logs though I cannot say what happened at the time you restored the plugins component. However, base on your description, it seems like the restoration has failed partway. The common cause for this is when the server cuts-off the process when the server resource is low. In this case, manual restoration is an alternative way to go.

    Best Wishes,
    Bryle
