Can’t login to dashboard after installing plugin
-
Hi,
I’ve installed plugin in my local env. After that, the login screen gets managed by the plugin, so I go to /wp-admin.php and can fill in the custom login page. Seems cool.
Situation is described below:
1. I log into dashboard as admin.
2. I proceed to install plugin, successfully.
3. I then check that login page is made custom by the plugin, as I can see into an incognito web browser tab(Optional steps that have no effect on the problem I’m about to describe)
4. Here I put user & password of an already existing subscriber account, and it performs login successfully.
5. I log out from that subscriber’s session. Here comes the weirdness:
6. I then logout from my admin session from dashboard.
7. I try to do login to dashboard, what seems to be also through custom login page.
8. I introduce admin’s user & password. In fact are stored in my browser’s cached passwords.
9. Ooops. I can’t login, as long as after submitting the login form, i get the login page reloaded with no further info on what happened.
10. If I got into DB and manually disable the plugin, default login page shos up and I can login again.
11. After login to dashboard, I activate plugin again.
12. From here, one can repeat steps 6 through 12 with the same non sense behaviour.Does the plugin implement it’s own login logic?
If any further test is needed to be done by your side, i can setup a preproduction environment so you can test. Just tell me.
