Modifying the default menu header titles

How do you change the default menu header titles? For example, I would like to change “links” to “other great sites” and “categories” to “topics”. I’m not sure which file I should be editing. I’ve seen it done on several different wordpress configurations. I’m sure this is an easy fix. Please help.
