  • If one of those sites goes down, your posting wil hang.
Indeed, it may even be slow now.

Best to leave pingomatic in, then find out those which it does not hit (are there any ?) and just ping those.

Thanks. When one installs WordPress..how do they get the files that are missing i.e. atom.xml and .rdf? Thus I am getting a handful of 404 errors.

Also when I blog, how can i get the blog to automatically update the atom.xml file with the latest blogs?

You all ready have those files. They are wp-rss2.php, wp-rss.php, wp-atom.php. They are automatically updated whenever you post.

Please do not ping Blogbot.dk unless you are already a registered user. Other users are blocked. In order to register as user, the blog must be written in Danish and meet certain other criteria.

Currently I block several hits to the XML-RPC service per second. This is consuming quite a lot of resources on my little server.

    Hi Matt,

I was wondering if you’d gotten my email about setting up to
ping https://www.freshpodcasts.com via pingomatic? We really do
want to work with you on that. We (Rodney R. and I) love
Wordpress and Pingomatic. Thanks for bringing such great
    stuff to the web community.

    Steve
