    Hi Rookie,

I understand your concernes about the SDK. It is not easy to leverage a “work for all in all cases” solution, especially in a WordPress environment where every website is different on many levels from one another.

For now though, freemius remains with its pros and cons.

    Cheers!

@wpjoli Thanks for the reply. I understand EDD and freemius is a pick of your choice. But the SDK is not needed in the free version as it’s the softare for the paid licenses. Can’t you consider removing it from the free version in the wp repo consider it’s for the paid only. It’s a very slow and bloated SDK.

Well the SDK in the free version brings a smoother experience for anyone willing to upgrade and several other insights (that happen behind the scenes) such as user feedback. This is helpful as it gives developers directions about what to enhance, fix, or what new features to bring next.

Now this is a free plugin. It is provided as is and it is up to the end user to decide whether he’s happy to use it in this way, and if not, anyone’s free to switch over to another plugin.

Ok I understand that and as you say I’m free to go somewhere else and you are free to use what you want. Just suggesting my exprience with Freemius and the bloated SDK, compared to alternatives. And conflcits with redis cache which happens due to the sdk.

Just sharing my suggested improvements from a user prospective.
