AN plugin isn’t updating without using “Full API Sync” button

We are using the plugin primarily to import events and display them on an events page. We had been using it for quite a while but one of our editors didn’t understand we were using the plugin and edited the page so for a while it wasn’t being used.

I redid the the page with the new widget but the plugin isn’t automatically updating. If I click on the “Full API Sync” button on the dashboard page it updates without a problem but it would be nice if it would update automatically like it was before.

Do you have any idea how I can fix this?
