Submission to Google Podcasts fails

    My Seriously Simply Podcasting (SSP) feed is being rejected by Google Podcasts. There are two error messages on the Google platform and both of them are suspect… meaning, both errors seems to be nonsense. The first error is on the first step of the Google Podcast validation process: That error is: “This feed is missing an email address. Add an email address to your RSS feed.” (Note: I do have an email address in the feed… so, this error is nonsense)
    The next error is a little different and appears on the Dashboard page of Google Podcast Manager: That error is: “This show is now being served from a different feed. Data may be partial until the new feed is verified.”
    So you see… one message talks about a missing email address and the other message talks about a “different feed” but I only have one feed.
    I am hosting my MP3 files on DreamHost’s “DreamObjects” service which is similar to Amazon’s S3 service.
    My feed URL is: https://podcast.allthingsyoutube.com/feed/podcast
    I used Castos feed validator… and I get green checkmarks across the board.
    All other services have accepted my podcast: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Amazon Music, TuneIn, etc. Only Google Podcasts is causing trouble. Please help.
    I have seen some posts about SSL (https) and PHP being an issue with SSP. Both my site and DreamObjects use “https”… and if the problem really is a PHP thing I don’t know how to solve it… so, I’m at a total loss regarding how to resolve this Google Podcasts validation error. Please help.

    Hi @matthew999 apologies for the delay in getting back to you on this. I took a look at your feed and agree that it checks out great in castfeedvalidator.com – have you tried self-hosting your files directly on your WordPress server just to see if that resolves the issue? Otherwise I would suggest reaching out to the team at Google Podcasts to see if they can help troubleshoot the issue for you. Don’t see anything about your feed or its setup that would be contributing to this.

    Let us know how it goes and if we can do anything else to help out.
