BadgeOS adding Paragraph tags

I tested out the free version of this plugin on our new site and found it worked for my purposes BUT it added paragraph tags throughout my site wherever there was a line break in our Gutenberg content. This rendered it useless. I am using a custom created theme that uses the Gutenberg editor. Is this a known bug? If I can get this to work with my site, I will be purchasing the paid version.
