• Hello,

    I update WP 5.6.
    And the free CowerNews 1.5.3. too.

    Free 1.5.3. version CowerNews: Loading circle it just spins but doesn’t load the page

    Helpd ‘Enable jQuery Migrate Helper’ plugin, but this is not perfect solution.
    Who also writes that: notify the theme creator

    The 1.5.2. version it was still good.

    Indicates errors here(jQuery migrate):
    /assets/script.js
    /assets/slick/js/slick.min.js
    and writes:
    jQuery.fn.load() is deprecated
    \’ready\’ event is deprecated

    I’d like some help.

    Thank you very much.

  • Hello @rkrstf
    We are working on migrating jQuery. For now, would you please deactivate the plugins and clear the cache and check once?

    Thank you

    Hi there,
    As we have released new update for the theme, would you please confirm if you have checked and installed the latest version?
    After installing the new version, we suggest you to check the site by clearing server cache (if any) and browser cache.
    Best regards

    Hello,

    There was no result.

    I upgraded to 1.6.0.

    Now jQuery Migrate shows an error here:
    File location: themes/cowernews/assets/script.js
    Tiggered on page: / (website root directory)
    Notice: jQuery.fn.load() is deprecated

    There is no page cache.
    I am still checking the server cache.

    Thanks for everything.

    I’ll report later on what I did.

    Best regards

    Hello,
    That solved that:
    Theme Options > Preloader Options > Disable preloader

    The 1.6.0 update changed the look of the page.

    Because: Frontpage options > Frontpage Layout Settings > if I select ‘Home sidebar – Home content’ does not change

    I keep the preloader off.

    Frontpage Layout Settings please fix it nicely.

    Best regards
