i ONLY want to have JUST one description.
Making an ecommerce product and then being forced to make 2 descriptions makes unnecessary work.

I asked this before a long time ago…
I think the solution offered was to write code to hide the main description.
Just wondering if there was a plugin that did this for me?

I looked at Shopify and SquareSpace and other ecommerce platforms. None of them have 2 descriptions. I think Woocommerce are missing a beat when it comes to this. I think the default should be 1 description. If the user wants 2 descriptions, then they should be able to activate it.

    Hi there!

It’s true that a product can have both the normal “long” description and a more succinct “short” description, but both of these are optional, and you can omit either or both.

Could you add more detail to make it clear exactly what the issue is you’re experiencing? If you could share a screenshot that shows the problem, that would be helpful. You can upload the screenshot to your media library and share the link with us, or you can use a service like Droplr or CloudApp to share the image file.

    Aaaah… I see ??
I always thought you HAD to put a description in both main Description AND ‘Product Short Description’.
I didn’t realise if I left out then it was OK!!
All these years and I never knew! LOL

    Thanks.
