    Hello,

I hope this is within the scope of this forum as it has nothing to do with external additions or modifications.

I have noticed some loading issues with the portfolio page in the Blask theme, especially on mobile. It happens on desktop too, but it is usually resolved so fast it’s not a big problem. When first loading the page, the images are overlayed for a good 20 seconds before falling into place with the proper spacing between them (I have attached some screenshots), sometimes staying stuck even longer, and I’m afraid it leaves a bad first impression of my website. Sadly it happened from the get-go, so I don’t think it’s related to plugins or oversized files. I am using a plugin for image optimization and lazy loading but it doesn’t seem to have helped either.

What can I do to alleviate this problem?

Thank you in advance for your help,
    All the best,
    Armin

I just wanted to add this does not resolve itself, no matter how long I wait, in the Instagram internal browser, where most of the traffic on my website comes from.

    Hi there,

Image optimization plugins (or the lazy load setting in Jetpack) can often conflict with the jQuery-based layout that is used on the Blask theme.

If you turn off Lazyload in jetpack, does it help with your issue? Also I noticed your homepage loads quite a few portfolio items (I count 23) and that can sometimes be an issue as well. The jQuery masonry layout can struggle with building the layout if you show too many items in a single page view. If you set your portfolio to show only 10 projects at a time does that also help?

That seems to have done it, thank you so much!
