Robust but Complex and Difficult to Master
-
I am having a Joe Biden moment. I have written about CrocoBlock rather than –just– Elementor…
CrocoBlock has developed an extensive and comprehensive collection of widgets used with the Elementor Page Builder. However, the collection has several duplicate capabilities and most are quite complex and time consuming (difficult) to learn to master.
The company provides excellent support; direct-to-developer, videos and knowledge base articles however the complexity of what they have accomplished remains what it is.
There is a lot of old content from earlier releases that makes learning even more time consuming and difficult. Being a developer myself I –always– date and version everything and share that publically. This is a Best Practice not adopted by CrocoBlock that would be in their best interest to adopt to solve the “old content” dilemma all vendors have to cope with as they move forward refining and changinge their product(s).
Be prepared to allot “a lot” of time in your development budget for “a lot” of work learning what to do and more importantly what not to do until you have a few projects complete and are familiar with what features and functions work best for your use cases.
CrocoBlock folks are Ukrainian and have an excellent command of English but here and there use nouns and other terms in ways that a native English speaker would not use so be prepared for a couple of “What the hell do they mean by that?” LOL
With all this said, CrocoBlock is proving themselves to be the best of the best in this domain and I highly recommend them above all other 3rd Parties that integrate with Elementor.
