Product translations disconnected from each other

  • Hello everyone,
    we used the Polylang plugin for our website to create translations of our products. Our main language is German. For the products we normally created translations by using the “plus” symbol. Everything was alright until we did some updates on the page.

    Now after the updates, the 2 different language product sites (German & English) are disconnected from each other. Now we both have the German and English product page in different language categories but not connected to each other. Most of English products are even now assigned as “German language”. Of course I am able to change those to “English language”. But still after doing that, I would have the problem that I basically have 2 products which are not connected to each other. Meaning: I go to a product page, then change my language from German to English, but then the main page loads (because they are not connected to each other).

    How can I connect those products back? Is there a possibility to do this in bulk? Or do I need to connect them manually one by one? We are talking about like 400 products in total, so it would be great to find a bulk solution.

    You see here 2 products with each German and English language (so in total 4). The “Bodyshaper X-Fit” product is not connected to each other (circled in yellow) while the “Bodyshaper X-Fit Mini” is. Like 200 to 300 products are not connected with each other right now.
