While in either of my custom post types created by the plugin JetEngine, the Yoast SEO sections in Elementors editor menus do not appear. I suspect this is because JetEngine is not associating those post types with whatever Yoast uses to determine something in Elementors editor should also have the Yoast menu sections.

    What I have already tried:

    1. Made sure everything is up to date, all plugins, site files, and WordPress version.
    2. Installed and used the Health Check Plugin. The only real issue was to update my PHP but when using the “PHP compatibility Checker” plugin I did not get an option to test the version that Health Checker suggested updating to so idk about that issue…
    3. Gone into “Site Health Checker” troubleshooting mode and made sure it is not a plugin that is restricting the custom post type from being detected by Yoast or Elementor correctly.

What I think might be heading in the right direction to solve this issue:
I manually add my custom post types to whatever Yoast and/or Elementor are referencing in order for them to be treated as valid for the Yoast menus to show up correctly?

    Note:
Just to clarify, Yoast SEO does work correctly from the post preview WordPress interface aka; the WordPress dashboard. It is only after clicking “edit with Elementor do I not see the newly integrated Yoast SEO options.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hello!

Have you tried switching to a standard theme like Twenty-Twenty? Does the issue occur? Also, can you please provide us a link to a sample post/page so we can check further?

    Thanks for the reply!

I will try switching to the Twenty-Twenty theme as you have suggested but for some context, I am currently using the advised theme from Elementor which is “Hello Elementor”.

After switching to your suggested theme (Twenty-Twenty) and enabling the minimal amount of plugins to emulate the situation (Elementor, Elemntor Pro, Yoast SEO, and JetEngine), I am still seeing this issue persist while in Troubleshooting mode.

On the note of providing you with “a link to a sample post/page”, how would I be able to provide you with access to my WordPress dashboard publicly here without it being a security concern? Maybe I am misunderstanding your request but in order for you to be able to interact with Elementors editor menu you would need to register with my WordPress dashboard, would you not?

Here are some screenshots that should show how I am seeing the Yoast SEO options from within the WordPress dashboard but not from within the Elementor editor. (These are using the Twenty-Twenty theme btw)

    @hander02

Thanks for the screenshots and additional information on the current issue. We understand that you’re using a JetEngine plugin to add a custom post type for your website. We also understand Yoast SEO Metabox is visible on the WordPress edit screen of the post but not on the Elementor editor view.

Yoast SEO options are expected to appear on the post, pages, custom post type posts on the Elementor editor view. Unfortunately, while we’re not familiar JetEngine paid plugin, we are unable to test the Yoast SEO option in the Elementor editor view for the post type created by JetEngine.

Regarding providing us access to your WordPress, it is not recommended on the public forum due to security concerns. Having Yoast SEO Premium would let you access our support help desk that would help investigate your setup for the solution.
