• Hello,

I noticed that the products get back in stock and are therefore available to other customers about 30 seconds before the cart of the customer holding the product expires. Meaning that during this time, it could be added to 2 different carts.

Is this “normal” or it shouldn’t happen?

    Thank you
    Pat

Doesn’t sound normal to me. Can you take screenshots of the plugin settings?

What other WooCommerce related plugins are you using?

Can I send you the screenshot by email? Sorry don’t know how to add it here.

I have 2 more concerns that are:

    1. Not seing the messages for Pending Order Text, Append Expiration Time to Pending Order Text and Append Included Items to Pending Order Text. Tried adding the last piece of a product in customer A cart and then checked same product with Customer B but the only message displayed is that the item is currently out of stock, unavailable.

    2. What is exactly the setting “Ignore Order Status”?

    Thank you very much

Sure, send them to [email protected]

It sounds you might have some plugin or theme conflicts if the basic features aren’t working.

What status is set for “Ignore Order Status” will keep those carts/sessions from expiring. Some payment processors put orders in different states while waiting for payment to complete before actually creating an order and adjusting item stock.

    Screenshots sent to your email.

Okay, let me run some tests while deactivating plugins that might be creating this issue (I see 1 or 2 that might).

For the “Ignore Order Status”, do you have a recommendation based on your experience?

    Thanks again

Ok I found the reason why the messages are not displaying.
The plugin “Variation Swatches for WooCommerce” has an option to Disable out of stock for variation product attribute item. Therefore the product variations disappear, the item is then shown as out of stock and the messages from your plugin can’t be displayed ??

The “Ignore Order Status” depends on what payment processor you use. Most of the odd ones that needed it were the types that would accept an order and then people could go somewhere to pay cash.

The plugin settings look fine. If you are still having the initial issue (products back in stock early) please provide step by step instructions to reproduce it. Product type, stock quantity, etc.

The payments will be done by credit card directly on the website.
So if I leave it as is under “pending payment” it means that the stock won’t be reduced once the customer enters in the payment section?
Sorry for all the questions, just to be sure I select the correct option(s).

I will keep on testing while deactivating plugins and give you all details if I can’t find what is causing it.

    Thanks

You probably do not need any “Ignore Order Status” then. Pending is when an order is placed but before payment has been received (or attempted).
