Hello , iam using the download monitor plugin to manage my website downloads but recently all download links stopped working and redirecting to Homepage

All the download links now are not working and all the articles I have written contain links from the Download Monitor

I want a solution to this problem, knowing that the problem occurred to me after updating wordpress to 5.6

    Example of a link:
    https://nawaf-blog.com/?download=3144

I have been using the Download Monitor since 2015 and I was really enjoying this plugin

I had a problem that I spoke about previously, and I did not find a convincing solution to it

All the links that you created from 2015 to now are in this way:

    https://nawaf-blog.com/?download=3144

And you ask me to give up this form of links by changing the permalinks of the blog

In this case, I lost two things:

Articles links will change as well as pages and everything will change and therefore all the links that I have shared on my site or on Twitter or any other site will not work, and therefore my effort since 2015 in publishing content will be wasted

Also, the download links that I created will change and thus become like this:

    https://nawaf-blog.com/download/3144

You ask me to let go of “?” And its presence in the link, and this is impossible, how did it work with me in this way since 2015 and even less than a month ago?

What happened that made it not work?

I trusted my use of the plugin and now I find something frustrating that makes my entire work go as if it’s worthless

I would really like to know how this problem was resolved because I am having this problem right now. All my download link leads to a 404 error page.

The problem was not solved, and I removed the plugin and moved to another one

Thanks for your reply. Does that mean that one would manually re-upload all files? How did you go about it?

    Hey @kenetelling,

Can you please create a new post and share more details of the issue you are facing?

I am having the exact same problem. I have also been using this plugin for years with no problem but nothing works now.

    @kermit2301,

Please create a new support post and we can then discuss the issue you are facing.
