Activation failing – Parse Error

I’ve added the plugin but upon trying to ‘Activate’ I get this message:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '['<em>[REDACTED]</em>/wp-content/plugins/instagram-widget-by-wpzoom/instagram-widget-by-wpzoom.php on line 57Any ideas?

You use a php version lower than php 5.4, we use a short array syntax
[]instead of oldarray(), please update your php version because the WordPress works with PHP 5.6.20+, read more about WordPress requirements in this article.
