Youtube embed showing as link + Google Console video error

    Hello,

    I’m not sure if these two issues are related but I recently started getting the Google Console video error “Missing field thumbnailURL” for some of my posts. Also, my Youtube video embeds are just showing as a link in certain posts, as can be seen here: https://summeryule.com/blueberry-orange-lavender-overnight-oats-no-added-sugar/

    I can embed the video directly into the post (not the recipe card) with no issues. Most of my videos seem to be showing up fine but I come across one every once in a while where there is just a link. Thank you for your help. I have WP Recipe Maker Premium.

    Could you try using the full YouTube URL instead of the shortened one and see if it shows up then? So for that particular post: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOy3AUxtc6Q

    For the metadata, try settings your own YouTube Data API key and then resetting the video metadata on the WP Recipe Maker > Tools page.

    Using the full Youtube URL worked, thank you! I’m glad that it appears that I do not have to fix all of the video links right now.

    I already had a Youtube data API key, but I never reset the video metadata. I did that, cleared the cache, and currently have Google Console validating the fix. Thank you so much for your help!
