Shipping tracking via SIB

  • Hi all.
    We have just set up our new website on WP/Woo and SIB. So far, it’s pretty much doing what we need it to.

    However, we are struggling to find a solution to sending UPS shipment tracking numbers (via email) to customers. We can get the tracking number back into Woo (from UPS, via Shipstation) but we can’t get this into a SIB email.

    SIB have confirmed that there is no parameter (currently) for shipment tracking and no immediate plans to create this functionality.

    For us though, sending shipping details to customers is pretty crucial and I would imagine it is for other e-com operators too.

    So my question is; how do other businesses who use SIB for transactional emails send these notification out? Is it a case of reverting to a WP email template, or is there a work-around? I’m really keen that all my transactional templates look the same and are brand-consistent.

    Thank you for your email.

    All templates send from our platform can indeed be personalized as long as there is the right parameter for such.
    When this is not the case the contacts normally revert to the templates from WooCommerce, but they are still sent by our platform.

    Is there no possibility to have the information you wish to send on the template added on the database in Sendinblue?
    Can you please confirm to us the login email or support ID of your Sendinblue account?

    Hi there.
    We are still struggling with this one. Unfortunately, there is no SIB shipping tracking parameter available. But we are unable to fire the same email from woo templates. The plugin seems to want to use woo or SIB. We were trying to use the CUSTOMER NOTE template. The log-in email is [email protected].

    I know there must be a way to do this. With all the thousands of SIB users around the globe, I would be amazed if someone, somewhere wasn’t being able to send shipping tracking emails out from Woo/SIB.
