Image size selection

Hi there,

I have a question regarding image sizes. There seems to be no option to select the used image size of an image that is added to a newsletter. By that I mean the the (custom) image sizes that are created by WordPress when uploading an image.

We use high resolution images on our website to display posts on desktop and small(er) images on mobile. I would expect possibility to select which image size to use for newsletters. No the largest image size (for instance 1920×1280) is linked to the newsletter, while we restrict the width of our images in newsletters to 295px in width.

It seems this puts an unnecessary burden on the data bandwidth used by readers of the newsletter.

Is there, or will there be in the future, an option to circumvent this?
