    Error: We’ve detected there’s already an existing Analytics tag on your site (ID UA-90652783-1), but your account doesn’t seem to have access to this Analytics property. You can either remove the existing tag and connect to a different account, or request access to this property from your team.

    There was a different one blocking things previously from Monster Insights. I deactivated that and I get this NEW one.

    I’m ultimately trying to track conversions to my site – newsletter subscriptions. We are a nonprofit and I’m trying to figure out how to get people to our site. I’ll take any advice!

    I have SOME experience with WordPress and these types of things, but I could really use an expert to help walk me through this.

    I have ZERO idea how to track down this Analytics tag.

    @reefcares thanks for reaching out! I spot this other Analytics property tracking ID in the source code of your site (screenshot). From what I can tell, it may be hardcoded on your site in the theme files (technically it is in the <body> instead of the recommended <head> tag).

    Are you able to contact the person who was involved with building the site to help locate and remove this for you (we are not allowed access to your site)?

    I really appreciate you finding this!!!!!

    I’m the only person that worked on the website, so I don’t know where that came from.

    If that’s in the source, it had to have been put there by some weird plugin or something.

    ARRRGGGGHHHHH!

    Any ideas? Just get in there and delete that stuff?

    If I remove all that code, will it be “gone?”

    @reefcares thanks for your reply!

    To narrow down if it’s your theme or one of your plugins, you could use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and enable its troubleshooting mode. This mode disables active plugins and switches to a default theme safely since it only affects the experience of the logged-in user.

    – Please enable the Site Kit plugin and let me know if the issue is present.
    – Enabling plugins and your theme one by one in this mode may help pinpoint if something else is involved.
    – Note you can disable troubleshooting mode from the plugins page.

    @reefcares Since we have not heard from you, I am marking your topic as resolved. Please feel free to open a new support topic if you need further help.
