Hi,

I notice in WordPress 5.6 and annoying bug or perhaps a feature. Often when you Update a post to save changes and go to View post the browser dialogue will show the Leave or Stay on page message. I have seen this a lot with the block editor but now I am seeing it in classic style editors i.e. WooCommerce products. It is intermittent in its appearance but is extremely annoying as it adds extra time to workflows. Should be fixed.

Could you please provide reproduction steps?

I’m getting the same result in both 5.6 and 5.4.2 with latest WooCommerce plugin installed. They both showed the prompt when I have unsaved changes when leaving the editor.

My steps are:

Edit Product -> add new detail to field -> Click Update -> View Product -> Dialogue prompt Leave / Stay on Page appears.

I am using Toolset additional post fields on the Product type. I have this implemented on some sites. Could br the culprit in my case.

Will Post more observations as I come across them.

Appeared with 5.6.

It could be a Woocommerce bug:

Getting the same (and not using Woo Commerce). WordPress 5.6.1. Noticed after I made a change to fields using Advanced Custom Fields Pro 5.9.4

I run multiple WordPress sites and all are different with different plugins and every site is now coming up with this very annoying warning?

I am seeing this too, on 5.6.1 and not using Woo Commerce either. Edited and saved an existing post, then when clicking to go back to the dashboard I get the glitch.

At this stage I am just rolling with these browser alerts. But not good that the WP devs are not fixing it. Maybe because it is on the Classic Editor they don’t want to bother fixing it. One thing though anyone else seeing this happen to be using TinyMCE Advanced? Could it be anutyhign to do with it. I might test and see.
