New users do not receive email from my registered email address

When a new user registers on my site they receive their password via email, except the email that they receive doesn’t come from the email address that I have registered under Settings->General Settings. Instead the email seems to come from an email address linked to my domain hosting company.
Is there something I can do to make it so that the new users receive the email from the email address that I input under General Settings?
