Hi, I am getting the following message after upgrading to wordpress 5.6: “Your site could not complete a loopback request”. This is in the ‘site health status’ area of the website. When I expand, it reads: “Loopback requests are used to run scheduled events, and are also used by the built-in editors for themes and plugins to verify code stability. The loopback request returned an unexpected http status code, 403, it was not possible to determine if this will prevent features from working as expected”. This is the first time this message has appeared and this happened after I upgraded to wordpress 5.6. I run a few checks and the site is working fine, yet this message is still there. I do often get a message saying that a ‘schedule event is late’, but that message disappears after a while. After over two hours of upgrading to the new version of wordpress, the message is still showing, even though, as mentioned, the site seems to be working fine. Just so that you know, the theme was also updated. Thanks in advance.

Are you using a plugin or something to restrict access to your web site?

The problem has likely existed since prior versions and you’re only noticing it now. The main effect will be the delay in some scheduled events.
