Imbedded links no longer work in WP

If you’re having a problem with a particular type of embed, can you give a specific example please.

Thank you for the reply. Twitter links embeds work in that form. But not in a form where you can click and play a twitter video on your blog post.

I just embedded a link to a tweet with a video in a test post. It worked as expected, the video was playable within the blog post. This is with a stock copy of WordPress 5.6 with no plugins installed.

Can you please provide an example of a Twitter URL that doesn’t embed as expected.

You don’t need a plugin for Twitter videos to play.

Here’s what I did, on a WordPress 5.6 site with no plugins installed.

1. Posts / Add New
2. Paste the URL of a tweet containing a video (https://twitter.com/anthoknees/status/1337690888965738498 in my case) into the post content.
3. Publish the post.

Both within the editor and in the published post, the video is embedded as playable media. The play button works fine and I get sound.

This is a standard built-in WordPress feature. If it’s not working for you, can you tell us exactly what you’re doing and where it’s going wrong?
