Thank you for contacting us about this stats mixup, @denise6971!

I’ve corrected things on our side, and you should see your site’s stats again. I also noticed the same thing happened with your subscribers; I’ve fixed that too.

Please let us know if there are any stats missing, or if there’s anything else we can help with! ??

@mzakariya Thank you so much. Any way you could suggest what I am doing wrong to keep losing them? I disable JP prior to creating my staging site.

@mzakariya I just checked my site and the stats and followers are still missing.

Oops! Thanks for checking so quickly, @denise6971.

Your site existed multiple times on our side, and each instance had its own set of stats. It looks like I missed one of your staging sites, and those stats should now be included.

Jetpack’s “staging mode” can help prevent this from happening. Details here:

If anything is still missing, please contact us using this form – we may need to gather more information, and email is a better place for that. Thank you! ??

    Hi @denise6971

I’ve fixed this for you again. You’ll need to reconnect Jetpack on your live site.

I’d suggest either keeping Jetpack disconnected on the staging site, or enabling Staging Mode as Mark suggested above.

    Hope that helps!

@drawmyface Thank you. I have created multiple staging sites and never had an issue until recently. Believe it or not, on the staging sites I don’t use Jetpack. Would it help if I deactivated and deleted Jetpack, created my staging, reinstall on the live site but not the staging? That is the only thing I haven’t tried. Not sure what BH did on the staging site they created.

Yes, the issue is when a staging site is copied from your live site, if Jetpack is still connected, it will cause a mixup between the sites. If you disconnect before creating the staging site, then reconnect afterwards, you shouldn’t have any problems.
