I have just installed 2.9.1 and everything works fine – except that comment notifications are not being sent (everything is ticked).

If I create a test php file and do a simple mail().. then that does get sent through correctly – so I’m not quite sure where the issue lies.

I have seen some other posts about creating a ‘wordpress’ user within cpanel – but I would have thought if that was necessary then it would be more obviously in the docs.

Any help on where to start looking would be great – and apologies if this has been answered millions of times – I did have a good look through the forum and google first!

    Thanks,
    Patrick

    Hi Esmi,

I have seen that link before… the odd thing however is that if I register a new user – they *do* get an email from the system..

It’s only comment alerts which aren’t working – which suggests there’s something strange going on there.!

Might give that link a go in the mean time (but I can’t see why it should make a difference)

    My Mistake,

I had a left over filter – all the emails have come through fine – working perfectly ! very happy! ??

I have two blogs using 2.9.2, one comment notifier works, the other doesn’t.
    works: GoingLikeSixty.com
    doesn’t: BBQandBourbon.com
    Same host (bluehost.com)

Patrick: which fix did you use from annanta.com?
I don’t see anything that says “Change MX Entry”

There is an MX Entry icon in the cPanel you can use to edit the MX entries to go along with the fix from esmi’s provided link.
