    Greetings,

I’ve had issues before with dynamic strings and never received an answer. I fixed the issue by having to remove different text on buttons – leaving only 1 text on buttons, without it changing on hover made it possible to continue to use translatepress.

However, now I’m again hitting a wall and cannot find anywhere a solution or answer for it. Main language + EN translated language.

Whether with classic search or Woocommerce search – I don’t get any results for EN translated pages.

The results are always empty. Some products have an English label within their name in the main language, so typing those will yield results, but all result excerpts are again on the Main language, none of them are in English.

I tried everything and can’t seem to get this to work. I’m frustrated. I’m exhausted. I’ve found a page on the official website of translatepress where it states that WordPress Search functions should work immediately after translations have been done. I have done nothing wrong in that regard, but 0 results.

I tried installing several AJAX and non-AJAX search plugins : Same results – it doesn’t work for the EN translated language whatsoever.

I need guidance on what to do to get search results working.

    Hello,

As mentioned in our documentation the search should work once products are translated. This means the title and content of the post are translated.

However, there is a setting in TranslatePress -> Settings -> Advanced -> Disable post container tags for post title & Disable post container tags for post content.

Make sure those two are not selected. If they are, search won’t work.

The way search should work however is:
    * in the default language, it should work as expected. Searching in your database.
    * in the secondary language, if you have the post title and post content translated of a WooCommerce product, then searching FOR THE TRANSLATION, it should work. If you search for the exact same name, it won’t work, unless you manually translate it with the exact same name.

Hope this helps debug the issue.

    Hi,

I have a similar issue. After translating and checking these “TranslatePress -> Settings -> Advanced -> Disable post container tags for post title & Disable post container tags for post content.” settings (both are disabled), I cannot get the search function to work in my secondary language. Even when my website it set in the secondary language, the searchbox only functions when I search for products in my default language.

Any suggestions on what to do?

    Hi,

By enabling those options the search function will not search anymore in the title or content of your posts.

Hey, I have the same issue.
I did everything like explained above but a translated Title of a product will not be found in ajax search and static product search in a widget.

Is this a bug that we can fix?
    Thank you.
    Tim
